Trillium Arts COVID-19 Safety Protocol :

November 2021

 All Resident Artists and Fellowship Artists must abide by the following guidelines and sign this form prior to arrival at Trillium Arts:

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Trillium Arts is working to ensure health safety conditions for visiting artists, Trillium Arts’ staff and patrons. This document is a guide for artist residents to work safely at Trillium Arts.

 

These recommendations are based on the current body of knowledge regarding the transmission and testing for SARS-CoV 2, the virus that causes the disease COVID-19. They are subject to change at any time as more information regarding this situation is obtained.

 

In addition to a standard residency contract, all artists are expected to follow the protocols described herein and to sign this agreement, which includes a release of liability and hold harmless statement.

COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any place where people are present or gather. An inherent risk is a risk that cannot be eliminated.

 

COVID-19 SYMPTONS

  • Fever of 100.4 or higher

  • Shortness of breath that cannot be attributed to another known health condition

  • Cough that cannot be attributed to another known health condition

  • Sore throat that cannot be attributed to another known health condition

  • Complete loss of smell or taste

  • Vomiting or diarrhea

  • Headache or aches throughout the body that cannot attributed to another health condition

 

GUIDELINES AND COMMUNICATION

One month prior to the start date of your residency, a virtual call will be held to talk about concerns and expectations. Any specific or revised COVID-19 procedures will be addressed, such as travel guidelines, expectations of behavior outside of Trillium Arts, cleaning procedures, and other best practices. The goal of this meeting is to establish a kind, mutually agreed upon community of safety in a shared living and working environment. Additional addendums may be

created as new information is presented. It is the Artist(s)’ choice to accept these addendums or defer their Residency.

 

ARTIST’S RESPONSIBILITES

·      Artist(s) will provide proof of vaccination, AND, either a negative PCR test or negative rapid response Antigen test result within 48 hours prior to artist arrival on site.

·      No Artist shall enter the premises experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms or has otherwise made known contact with persons diagnosed with COVID-19 within fourteen (14) days.

·      For Artists who are travelling through major transportationhubs (airports, train, etc.) to arrive at Trillium, we encourage the artist to take an antigen test upon checking in for their residency. Trillium Arts will provide the test kit.

·      Artist will monitor and take every reasonable precaution to ensure their health while in residence at Trillium. Artist’s precautions must include monitoring symptoms daily from prior to Artist’s arrival at Trillium Arts’ facilities until the Artist’s departure.

·      An antigen test kit is available for Artist use at any time during their residency.

·      Artist is expected to continue usual behaviors of physical distancing, face mask coverage, and hand washing as appropriate.

·      If Artist(s) leave Trillium Arts’ facilities, Artist will abide by local regulations and practice masking, physical distancing, and good hand hygiene when off site.

·      Artist will sign this agreement stating known and inherent risks associated with COVID-19, and confirming no known symptoms or exposure to a positive COVID-19 case within 14 days of arrival at Trillium Arts.

 

TRILLIM ARTS’ RESPONSIBILITES

·      Trillium Arts retains the right to deny entry or require testing to anyone that, in the opinion of the Trillium Arts representative, displays COVID-19 symptoms.

·      Trillium Arts will use reasonable efforts to maintain a safe and healthy work environment while the Artist is in residence.

·      Trillium Arts will follow enhanced cleaning procedures using CDC recommendations, best practice and utilize EPA registered & approved cleaners.

·      Trillium Arts will monitor the health of its staff for any potential COVID-19 symptoms.

·      Trillium Arts staff will continue usual behaviors of physical distancing, face mask coverage, and hand washing as appropriate.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Any artist whose residency has to be canceled for COVID-19 reasons will have their residency honored and rescheduled at a later date or reimbursed in full for their residency fee when applicable (the artist’s choice). We hope that this assurance encourages everyone who wishes to apply to do so.

 

 

If You Learn That You Have Been Exposed To COVID-19 Prior To Arrival

Please contact us immediately at phil@trilliumartsnc.org and plan to delay your travel to Trillium Arts until 14 days after exposure. We will work to reschedule your residency. Trillium Arts staff will abide by this same policy and alert you if anyone on our staff has experienced exposure.

 

 

 

Trillium Arts will not be responsible and is hereby released from any liability for claims arising from COVID-19 or other health issues except to the extent the liability is directly caused by Trillium Arts’ failure to carry out its responsibilities listed above.
